Funders Forum Invests $21 Million in Muncie & Delaware County
Local philanthropy continues to make a transformative impact in Muncie and Delaware County, with more than $21 million invested in 2024 by members of the Funders Forum Collaborative. This coalition of 17 philanthropic organizations has collaborated for nearly three decades to address critical community needs.
“This year’s Philanthropic Snapshot highlights the collective power of giving in our community,” said Marcy Minton, president and CEO of The Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County, which convenes the Funders Forum. “Collaboration among funders ensures that charitable dollars are strategically aligned to make the greatest possible impact in Muncie and Delaware County.”
The 2024 Philanthropic Snapshot details the investments made by Funders Forum members and highlights how philanthropy is shaping Delaware County’s future.
In addition to individual contributions to the philanthropy landscape, Funders Forum members engage in collaborative funding initiatives. Since 2017, the Funders Forum has awarded more than $600,000 in collaborative grantmaking, including $58,300 in 2024 to three key projects: Muncie Area Career Center, Nonprofit Support Network, and Delaware County BY5. These grants reflect the group’s commitment to investing in workforce development, nonprofit capacity-building, and early childhood education.
