Community Foundation Scholarship Awards

The Community Foundation Announces 2024 Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the following scholarship recipients –

Ava Capes, a senior at Daleville Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship and the Bobby Watters Scholarship. Ava plans to study Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics at Anderson University. She is the daughter of Amanda Capes and Matthew Capes.

Megan Cook, a senior at Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Carolyn A. Lucas Scholarship. Megan plans to study Speech Pathology at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Chris and Kristen Cook.

Lucy Holaday, a senior at Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Robbin S. Lindsey Memorial Scholarship. Lucy plans to study Public Policy Analysis at Indiana University. She is the daughter of Heather and Benjamin Holaday.

Jennah Love, a senior at Wes-Del High School, is a recipient of the Jon Hunter Memorial Scholarship. Jennah plans to study Pre-Medicine and Biology with a minor in Spanish at Indiana Wesleyan University. She is the daughter of Ed and Emily Love.

Maycie Martin, a senior at Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship. Maycie plans to study Nursing at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Kristina Martin and Blake Martin.

Bennett McKinney, a senior at Burris Laboratory School, is a recipient of the Alice Miriam Kitselman Scholarship. Bennett plans to attend Lake Forest College. He is the son of Jackie Grutsch McKinney and Todd McKinney.

Aubrey Miller, a senior at Burris Laboratory School, is a recipient of the Steve Shondell Scholarship. Aubrey plans to attend Indiana University East. She is the daughter of Alainna Peconge and Travis Peconge.

Austin Ryder, a senior at Daleville Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Michele Barnhart Hires Scholarship. Austin plans to study Industrial Engineering Technology at Purdue University Fort Wayne. He is the son of Jon Ryder and Amber Ryder.

Morgan Skinner, a senior at Wes-Del High School, is a recipient of the Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship. Morgan plans to study Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Spanish or Chemical Engineering at Trine University. She is the daughter of Kelley Skinner and Shane Skinner.

Victoria Walker, a student at Ivy Tech Community College, is a recipient of the East Central Opportunities Scholarship. Victoria studies Entrepreneurship.

The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. encourages philanthropy, assists donors in building an enduring source of charitable assets, and exercises leadership in directing resources to enhance the quality of life for residents of Muncie and Delaware County. Since 1985, community members and businesses have helped the Foundation grow our endowment to $83 million. Using the earnings on the endowment, the Foundation distributes grants to nonprofit organizations, including scholarships to support students through post-secondary education. To date, the Foundation has awarded nearly $65 million to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Muncie and Delaware County.
