The Community Foundation Announces 2024 Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the following scholarship recipients –

Belle Brown, a senior at Delta High School, is a recipient of the Sarah E. Adams Scholarship. Belle plans to study Fashion Industry with a minor in Business at Ball State University. Belle is the child of Kelly Stitt and Matthew Brown.

Sharon Edwards, a student at Ivy Tech Community College, is a recipient of the Hurley C. and Fredine (Wynn) Goodall Scholarship. Sharon studies Nursing.

Abigail Goller, a senior at Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Robert and Wanda McKibben Scholarship. Abigail plans to study Nursing at Indiana University. She is the daughter of Jay and Tamara Goller.

Carly Howard, a senior at Delta High School, is a recipient of the Ashley Burgauer Scholarship. Carly plans to study Nursing with a minor in Business at Indiana University. She is the daughter of Curt and Ashley Howard.

Abigail Lindburgh, a senior at Delta High School, is a recipient of the Gary W. Addison Scholarship and the Lathrop P. Johnson Scholarship. Abigail plans to study Teaching a Foreign Language: Spanish at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Aaron and Erica Lindburgh.

Jonathan Loney, a senior at Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Jim Leffler Memorial Scholarship and the Yorktown Lions Club Scholarship. Jonathan plans to study Pre-Med at Wabash College. He is the son of Heather and Jeremy Loney.

Ella Mauck, a senior at Wes-Del High School, is a recipient of the Jon Hunter Memorial Scholarship. Ella plans to study Pre-Optometry with a minor in Biology at Indiana Wesleyan University. She is the daughter of David and Gina Mauck.

Brenley Miller, a senior at Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Rex A. Waldo II Scholarship. Brenley plans to study Neuroscience at Indiana University. She is the daughter of Deborah Miller and Matthew Miller.

Andrea Sanchez, a student at Ball State University, is a recipient of the Braden R. Reynolds Memorial Scholarship. Andrea studies Architecture with a minor in Interior Design. She is the daughter of Adriana Scarpatti and Carlos Sanchez.

Alana Trissel, a senior at Burris Laboratory School, is a recipient of the eKeeper Systems Unparalleled Excellence Scholarship. Alana plans to study Biochemistry with a minor in Spanish at Indiana University. She is the child of Kristi Trissel and Shane Trissel.

The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. encourages philanthropy, assists donors in building an enduring source of charitable assets, and exercises leadership in directing resources to enhance the quality of life for residents of Muncie and Delaware County. Since 1985, community members and businesses have helped the Foundation grow our endowment to $83 million. Using the earnings on the endowment, the Foundation distributes grants to nonprofit organizations, including scholarships to support students through post-secondary education. To date, the Foundation has awarded nearly $65 million to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Muncie and Delaware County.
