The Community Foundation Announces 2023 Scholarship Recipients
Congratulations to the following scholarship recipients –
Gannon Crosser, a senior at Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Yorktown Lions Club Scholarship and Jim Leffler Memorial Scholarship. Gannon plans to study Exploratory Studies at Indiana University. He is the son of Lynn and Christopher Crosser.
Tynan Dishman, a junior nursing student at Ball State University, is a recipient of the Patricia K. and Franklyn D. Brinkman, Sr. Nursing Scholarship.
Camryn Eldridge, a freshman agricultural education student at Purdue University, is a recipient of the Charles L. Whitehair Memorial Scholarship.
Julia Hodes, a junior studying exceptional needs education at Ball State University, is a recipient of the Janice Paige Hughes Scholarship.
Mason Lynn, a senior at Delta High School, is a recipient of the Tom Devine Memorial Scholarship. Mason plans to study Sports Management and Marketing at Indiana University. He is the son of Bob Lynn.
Riley Powers, a senior at Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Rex A. Waldo II Scholarship. Riley plans to attend Ball State University. She is the daughter of Shannon and John Powers.
Evan Reed, a senior at Wes-Del High School, is a recipient of the Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship. Evan plans to study Physics Education at Ball State University. He is the son of Amy and Steve Reed.
Kenzie Stark, a senior at Wes-Del High School, is a recipient of the Jon Hunter Memorial Scholarship. Kenzie plans to study Nursing at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Shannon Strahan and Steve and Brandie Stark.
The Community Foundation will announce scholarship recipients in the order that students accept awards.
The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. encourages philanthropy, assists donors in building an enduring source of charitable assets, and exercises leadership in directing resources to enhance the quality of life for residents of Muncie and Delaware County. Since 1985, community members and businesses have helped the Foundation grow our endowment to $83 million. Using the earnings on the endowment, the Foundation distributes grants to nonprofit organizations, including scholarships to support students through post-secondary education. To date, the Foundation has awarded nearly $65 million to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Muncie and Delaware County.
