Community Foundation Scholarship Awards

The Community Foundation Announces 2024 Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the following scholarship recipients –

Isaac Andrews, a senior at Wapahani High School, is a recipient of the Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship. Isaac plans to attend Indiana Wesleyan University. He is the son of Jeff and Melissa Andrews.

Layna Bowman, a senior at Delta High School, is a recipient of the Delaware Community Schools Memorial Scholarship. Layna plans to study Sports Management or English Education at Taylor University. She is the daughter of Audra and BJ Bowman.

Carly Brown, a senior at Wes-Del High School, is a recipient of the Zach Greenwalt Scholarship. Carly plans to study Journalism at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Eric Brown.

Cheyenne Carter, a senior at Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Michael Brodhead Scholarship. Cheyenne plans to study Pre-Dentistry with a minor in Business at Anderson University. She is the daughter of Julie Carter and Nathan Carter.

Elijah Carter, a senior at Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Yorktown Lions Club Scholarship. Elijah plans to study Engineering at Purdue University. He is the son of Jason Carter and Catherine Huckstep.

Logan Kuzdas, a senior at the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities, is a recipient of the Dr. William J. and Thelma V. McNabney Memorial Scholarship. Logan plans to study Electrical Engineering at Purdue University. He is the son of Jen and Larry Kuzdas.

Eli Lengacher is a recipient of the E.K. Keesling Memorial Scholarship. Eli plans to study Mechanical Engineering Technology with minors in Law and Society and Ecology at Purdue University. He is the son of Kurt and Jo Ellen Lengacher.

Erika Minard, a senior at Delta High School, is a recipient of the Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship and the Charles L. Whitehair Memorial Scholarship. Erika plans to study Law Enforcement Conservation at Vincennes University. She is the daughter of Tammy Minard and Steve Minard.

Avery Seale, a senior at Burris Laboratory School, is a recipient of the Burris Class of 1949 Angie Wilson Scholarship. Avery plans to study Elementary Education at Indiana University. She is the daughter of Phil and Amanda Seale.

Trevor Swingley, a senior at Daleville Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Bobby Watters Scholarship and the Kathleen Rozelle-Camplin Scholarship. Trevor plans to study Pre-Veterinary Medicine at Morehead State University. He is the son of Mitch Swingley and Heather Swingley.

The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. encourages philanthropy, assists donors in building an enduring source of charitable assets, and exercises leadership in directing resources to enhance the quality of life for residents of Muncie and Delaware County. Since 1985, community members and businesses have helped the Foundation grow our endowment to $83 million. Using the earnings on the endowment, the Foundation distributes grants to nonprofit organizations, including scholarships to support students through post-secondary education. To date, the Foundation has awarded nearly $65 million to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Muncie and Delaware County.
