The Community Foundation Announces 2023 Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the following scholarship recipients –

Aubrey Charron, a graduating senior from Wes-Del High School, is a recipient of the Jon Hunter Memorial Scholarship and the Sarah E. Adams Scholarship. Aubrey plans to study General Studies at Ball State University. She is the daughter of David Charron.

Bry’llana Coates, a Pre-Nursing student at Ivy Tech Community College, is a recipient of the Hurley C. and Fredine (Wynn) Goodall Scholarship.

Katherine Floyd, a Business student at Ball State University, is a recipient of the George and Nelda Van Laningham Scholarship.

Brandon Guthrie, a student studying Cybersecurity and Information Assurance at Ivy Tech Community College, is a recipient of the Hurley C. and Fredine (Wynn) Goodall Scholarship.

Curtis Hansard, a graduating senior from Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Arthur D. and Josephine M. Robling Scholarship. Curtis plans to study Conservation Law Enforcement at Vincennes University. He is the son of Paul Hansard and Cathy Hansard.

Andrew Haughn, a graduating senior from Burris Laboratory School, is a recipient of the Burris Class of 1949 Angie Wilson Scholarship.

Landen Hiatt, a graduating senior from Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Nicholas Brooks Sherfy Memorial Scholarship.

Madilyn Howell, a graduating senior from Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Max V. and Nellie Cathrine Creviston Scholarship. Madilyn plans to study Medical Technology at Ball State University. She is the daughter of Jaime Burris and Richard Howell Jr.

Sophia Johnson, a graduating senior from Burris Laboratory School, is a recipient of the Alice Miriam Kitselman Scholarship. Sophia plans to study Psychology with a minor in Exercise Science at Indiana University. She is the daughter of Jennifer Johnson and Jamie Johnson.

Millie McDaniel, a graduating senior from Cowan Jr./Sr. High School, is a recipient of the Charles W. and Jane (Klipsch) Thomas Scholarship and the E.K. Keesling Memorial Scholarship. Millie plans to study Social Work at Indiana University. She is the daughter of Mary Coffman and Wes McDaniel.

Karly Puckett, a graduating senior from Monroe Central High School, is a recipient of the Jenny Haskell Memorial Scholarship. Karly plans to study Psychology at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Riverton Ross, a graduating senior from Yorktown High School, is a recipient of the Michael Brodhead Scholarship. Riverton plans to study Engineering at Purdue University. He is the son of Mark and Deborah Ross.

Jon Shrock, a graduating senior from Wapahani High School, is a recipient of the Grace K. Maring Scholarship. Jon plans to study Computer Science at Indiana University. He is the son of Brandon Shrock and Shelly Shrock.

Elijah Taylor, a graduating senior from Monroe Central High School, is the recipient of the Jenny Haskell Memorial Scholarship. Elijah plans to study Accounting at Indiana University.

Joey Ullom, a graduating senior from Muncie Central High School, is a recipient of the Robert L. Thompson Scholarship. Joey plans to study Business at DePauw University. He is the son of Sandy and Justin Ullom.

Titus Waters, a graduating senior from Muncie Central High School, is a recipient of the Dylan T. Stafford We Before Me Scholarship.

The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. encourages philanthropy, assists donors in building an enduring source of charitable assets, and exercises leadership in directing resources to enhance the quality of life for residents of Muncie and Delaware County. Since 1985, community members and businesses have helped the Foundation grow our endowment to $83 million. Using the earnings on the endowment, the Foundation distributes grants to nonprofit organizations, including scholarships to support students through post-secondary education. To date, the Foundation has awarded nearly $65 million to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Muncie and Delaware County.
